i dont understand why aeRO is still getting ddosed , i mean theres no point of ddosing a server who's population is already 300 below not including afks vendors and logouts. where not even in top 10 private server list for ragnarok, there must be an ulterior motive like duping glitch probably?? gm basher should probably look at that too. its weird too because ddos is not consistent, it goes every 10-15min then stops for like 5-6min then goes again. i hope it gets fix soon.

It's finally mitigated. Hopefully this time, you all can enjoy aeRO now its a lag free server. The picture above shows that the bad boys hit us again by ddosing the server, of course, to ruin your gaming experience. However, our server is no longer being affected of such attacks. 
Thank you all for being so nice to me, and for being very patient while I was working for the maintenance. I hope everyone the best day, and more powers to all aeRO Elites!

Hurray!!  Nice work GM Basher!! , I hope we can finally close this book of DDOS saga and move on to In-Game updates. Cant wait for new quest gears  .

@kyle - All the money from donations are used to pay the monthly bills for the rent: this includes: webserver, dedicated servers(to run the server itself) and aero client protection plan. And to clarify things here, I also used my own money to help off the expense, I work part time as well and honestly, that's where I get money. You can see how much it is to pay monthly for a dedicated server. I have not mention yet to have at least 8 cores processors to handle the huge amount of data in the database having connection pool between database and the server + control panel.
We don't host the server at home whatsoever. @galego know what's going on first before saying stuff.

Our new data center has been filtering the attack we're getting now. Time expectation for the server to be stable will be tonight @servertime.

basher is not pointing at every dollar you donate.. its for every transaction you make..
Youre the one whos not getting it. Its exactly what it says. If every transaction gives us extra 20 DCP. Then we'll only donate $1 so we get 21 DCP versus donating $100 which will only get you 120DCP. Instead, do 100 transcations of $1 and you get you 2100 DCP. If you dont get this Math youre stupid,
I don't understand why are you pointing this $1 stupid crap when you can only donate minimum $10 to $20 via donation, i know you pointed out before your not a donator, but at least read the rules on donation before opening a discussion about "Donation". Don't embarrass yourself with your stupidity.

I think some of you guys are misinterpreting this post. 1.)Donation is an option, not mandatory. 2.)The $5000 is a "Budget" for ddos protection. It doesn't mean that if we don't meet the $5000 quota by certain amount of time aeRO will close down, is just that we will still have unstable server that is potential for getting ddosed over and over again. I don't understand why so many pointless arguments/rants are being posted here instead of useful ones...tsktsk..
