Wow ! Great Idea Admin ! I do have a question, what do you mean by booster items ? and your phrase " speed up your waiting time to finish a quest"Try to quest Almighty Staff, Fire Blazed Sword, Bishop Hat, and Frost Charm. All those quests have a waiting time before you can get the item. So theres the one use of the booster item, you can lessen the waiting time on a specific quest. As for the other uses of it, only the Admin knows it for now.

Good point. You can only have 1 forum account linked to your in game accout. And that cant be change once its been set.

I see, but what I mean was that, even tough I can have only one forum account linked to my game account, I can have other forum accounts to give karma to that one that is linked to the game.
Isn't it before you can karma someone up , you need to have atleast minimum of a 100+ post ?
Yes, the forum karma are now working.
Some changes has been made by the following
- 10 post are needed to use the karma system.
- 12 hours interval to karma someone again.

How is it not that easy? Have you seen what she posts in threads? Most of her posts are usually 1-5 words and most of the time it's junk. Go look at her profile and you'll know what I mean. It's mostly just spam.

The fact is that post count as a requirement is pointless when people aren't required to make constructive posts. She isn't the only member who does this. Many forum users post useless things whenever they get a chance just for the sake of getting post count. The only thing having a post count restriction would do is encourage more of this kind of spam.

As for resetting the karma, I genuinely believe that some of our forum-ers worked hard in gaining karma. Now, the problem here is that, in forums, there is a variety of users*:ONLY "some" worked hard for their karma while "MANY" worked hard for their karma in KARMA THREAD POST
then if you didnt expect something in return like KARMA...Resetting the Karma is the best way you can think of? Try thinking outside the box for once as resetting it wouldn't make a difference. The system will still be prone to abuse and you will see a lot of players begging others for a karma.

This is why I suggested to implement an additional special form of Karma that can only be given by the staff. That way you solve most, if not , all the possible vulnerabilities.
Sure, I may have participated in one of those Karma threads and I couldn't really care less if they choose to reset my Karma. However, it wouldn't be fair for those who earned their karma through sheer amount effort by helping or posting useful topics.

We will postpone the release date of this feature as there will be many changes needs to be made. We will also consider to put your ideas to these changes to avoid abuse to this system. For now, enjoy the Agit King Event. It is finally open again! Score counting starts now!
Resetting won't change anything, people will still find a way to abuse the system by asking others for karma and there will be no way to stop them because they will obviously ask privately
The only possible solution is to let the staff to handle this karma system themselves. If you've posted something useful then a karma will be given by one of the member of the staff.

You spoke in their names by saying most of people with high karma are against it (obviously, people with 100+ karma are high karma and that includes her and many other forum users). We really do appreciate your help in forum, it makes our life, game masters, easier. This feature is to show our appreciation by helping you gain points for helping others.
So here is the logic...
The more you become active and the more you help people in forum, the more chance others gives you Karma. You can exchange this Karma to Booster items in game, like to speed up your waiting time to finish a quest. We might add some other prizes in the future too so...
A forum account can be linked to multiple aeRO Accounts in aeRO. This feature can only be set once. So you will be given only one chance to link your forum account to your ingame account
We are now in process of coding this. The expected time for this release is in the middle of March. If you have anything in mind that can make this better, feel free to post them here.
