Our server is still getting DDOSED
I have looked at different providers that offers ddos protection; in addition,we need a budget of $5000 to finally moved to a host that would ultimately block the attack we're getting and to finally get this problem resolved.
I have counted our active players and seemed that we can cover this expense. Any amount is acceptable, and I hope that you could help us to reach this amount and finally move our server to fully protected dedicated server.
To show our gratitude, you will get extra 20 DCP for every donation, and a special hat of appreciation for every donation that goes more than $100

Heard about the news :( sad to hear about it , aeRO getting DDOS attacked again.
But this time they needed a big amount. Even though i don't play aeRO anymore , i will still contribute a minimal amount 100$. I still remember one of the GM's told me before i quit . " Even though you quit, you're always part of the aeRO Community " . Guys remember Basher's not asking you to donate $5,000 . His just asking you to donate a minimal amount. Trust me " Every Coin Makes A Difference "

Don't donate. Why are you even gonna waste money if you're not even sure that the server will be fixed. What we donate $3000 and the never gets fixed?...Our money is gone, and there's no game to play. That's why we need it to be stable first and guaranteed before any money is wasted. We don't know Basher can just runaway with money. $5000 is a lot of money. I'm not giving anything unless I'm playing. And ONLY thru PayPal.

1.)Donation is an option, not mandatory.
2.)The $5000 is a "Budget" for ddos protection. It doesn't mean that if we don't meet the $5000 quota by certain amount of time aeRO will close down, is just that we will still have unstable server that is potential for getting ddosed over and over again.
I don't understand why so many pointless arguments/rants are being posted here instead of useful ones...tsktsk.. :(

They do have some great staff however they also some shit ones. They had corruption problems that even their own staff sells dupe items. Kinko wasn't really involved in anything, it was just Bean doing all the work. they didn't bothered to tell us what's going on and just left us there waiting for the server to come back for more than a year. yeah, i will not donate a single dollar until i know for sure that the server is playable. Maybe there are some players who already contributed some amount, but whats the point of donating when you cant even play the damn game.? Wheres there money now? Lets say people have donated $600 already, but what happens if its stays that way? will they get back the money? answer is no. Even if we make the $5000 mark, how do we know that we did? There is no way of tracking the money donated. Basher can just say we need $2000 more, later on, he'll say again, we still need $1800. There is no secured way to know where the money is going. No one know Basher personally in real life, so no one can really communicate with him. This maybe just a scam to get free money.
The only way this will get fix is as if Basher invest his own $5000, fix the server and then he'll get his money back thru donations.

@kyle - All the money from donations are used to pay the monthly bills for the rent: this includes: webserver, dedicated servers(to run the server itself) and aero client protection plan. And to clarify things here, I also used my own money to help off the expense, I work part time as well and honestly, that's where I get money. You can see how much it is to pay monthly for a dedicated server (http://www.quadranet.com/dedicated-servers/dual-processor/). I have not mention yet to have at least 8 cores processors to handle the huge amount of data in the database having connection pool between database and the server + control panel.
We don't host the server at home whatsoever. @galego know what's going on first before saying stuff.

Yes it is now stable; we have cleaned the ddos attacks coming to our server. So enjoy playing your legit characters. Also some of you may wonder about the donation we received; The current amount of donation we have received so far is $225.92.
