We are facing a huge SYN TCP DDOS attack which causes the server to crash, this leads to item duplication by the fact our database server and the turbo host server is no longer communicating with each other and 500+ characters cannot saved, by this fault we are forced to roll back the server from our latest backup to avoid this thing to happen. No worries that this roll back is just a half day.
The good news is that we are moving to a datacenter that can deal with this attack and the latest date they can have the server for us is on the 22'th of July.
At the moment of waiting, I will still try to tweak the protection of our firewall.

Server are now online! security patches have been applied into the server. Also, there will be another maintenance coming not to soon for "server update", we are continue working for it, and hopefully to be finish as soon as possible. Hints new update for aeRO Shield etc. That's all for now falks! so hold your horses and wait for further announcement!

My apologies for the long wait.
I was working with the staff of our datacenter almost the whole day to protect our network against the attacker.

There is a problem issue in our host data center which they are currently fixing by this time and they often required a server reboot, all aeRO servers will be down for a while till the server itself fixed cause I don't want ending up crashing the database and I'm pretty sure that they will not taking that long to fix our server.

Thank you very much aeRO Elites for your patience! the servers are now up and running again and also our control panel is now accessible.
I will try to visit the forum + game often, my problem with my broadband internet at home is still not working. So I can only visit you guys at work, which I can check for a very minimum time. Hopefully to be solved asap.

Turbo server crashed for still unknown reason. aeRO Dev's are continue searching for the hole that cause this. And we will also be taken a short range roll back to avoid server exploits that may ruin the server. Your help is always welcome. Thats correct! All aeRO server are now up and running! The problems of the missing accounts and missing characters are now fixed. As you may see, we do a roll back to revert the account and character changes. All aero servers will be down for short hours for some updates, do not ask when this maintenance will be done as we can't predict how many hours, We will try our best though to finish this asap.

For anyone who wasnt aware, aeRO there will be a half week rollback. The rollback is suppose to keep "fair play" and "Balance" because of some sort of cheating. All EXP, ITEM, ZENNY have being rolledback till March 25. We have also increased drop rate and EXP 2x until April 9.

Hello, It has come to my attention that the Wiki are VERY short on moderators and this is what this topic is for. The moderating position on this section could use some work. If you are proficient in the setup, administration and maintenance of MediaWiki, this job might just be for you. You are expected to be here at least a few hours a week to take care of things. Absences are acceptable as long as someone know where you are and can report it to me. Excessive absences will get your privileges revoked without warning. If you ever decide to come back (this applied to past moderators), you can always send me a PM. Whilest aeRO Wiki Leaders do not have any moderation powers on the forums, nor ingame they have virtually admin rights to the wiki. Wiki Leaders are responsible for keeping the wiki clean, updated and looking good. They are also considered to be one of the primary contributors to the aeRO wiki. Daily Tasks: Upkeep of the wiki. This position, is not a support position, should have knowledge about aeRO. You should be proficient in wiki formatting as well as some CSS/HTML on the side. This topic will remain open so that you may ask questions about being a moderator or more detailed questions about what Wiki moderator does. No, player. Though, being 13+ would certainly help your case (COPPA, and all). We care about mental maturity more than we do about physical maturity.
GM HOW MANY HOURS DO I NEED TO WORK?!
There is no set limit, player, however this is NOT just a "do it when I feel like it" thing. By applying to be a GM, you are saying that you are willing to ACTIVELY make time in your day to meet various GM-related responsibilities for as long as forseeably possible. List your availability based on your regular life--not on your breaks or vacation days or anything else. Moreover, if you don't have the time or will to dedicate to a position, then it's better not to apply.
GM, DOES GMING GET ME ALL THE CHICKS?!
If only, player, if only. Most of the things that would actively get you chicks are forbidden--as in, we have rules against giving out free stuff and haxing stats and whatnot, so if you're going to apply just for the attention/chicks--don't bother.
GM DO I HAVE TO GIVE UP MY LEGIT?!
At the moment, no, player. However, if you get accepted as a GM, most likely your time on your legit will plummet, and you will have to distance yourself from your friends or guild a least a little. GMing always comes before legitting, no matter how hard you want to WoE at the time. Thus, if you are extremely active in your guild/with your friends and are unwilling to put that second in your RO life, you should not apply. However, if we find your performance as a GM unsatisfactory, especially because of your legit, or if our rules change, we do reserve the right to either suspend your legit until your quality of conduct improves, or simply remove you from the staff.
GM I SHOULD TOTALLY BEEF MYSELF UP AND MAKE MYSELF LOOK COOLER TO GET ACCEPTED, RIGHT?!
No, player, GOD NO. We've been doing these applications long enough to tell when someone is lying about what their hours are, how dedicated they can be, etc. The best thing to do is to just be honest--but still professional. Seriously, anytime someone says something like "My only weakness is that I work too hard!" we roll our eyes hard enough that they're in danger of popping out of our heads.
ARE THERE ANY OTHER REQUIREMENTS GM?!
Well, player, besides the secret special things we look for, you must be fluent in English and willing to type at least semi-properly, this is an English speaking server, so that is a MUST--it is also a must to successfully complete the application. Moreover, you should have a fairly clean slate. That is not to say that if you've ever been warned or banned, ever, we won't accept you, but having a history of being drama bait, being disrespectful, being inflammatory, or otherwise breaking rules will make us hesitate rather hard to hire you. It would also help if you knew RO, especially the server you are applying for.

This is not highlander, player, there can be more than one. We will hire whoever meets our criteria, so please don't be trying to sabotage others or anything silly like that.
