The Tower Keeper

Proceed to Hugel Field 1. The entrance to Thanatos Tower, look for the Tower Keeper, and pay 5,000 zeny to gain entry.

* NPC Location: Thanatos Tower ( hu_fild01 ) 140, 163.

The Guide NPC is located in Thanatos Tower 1F, and she is recruiting new members for individuals who want to explore the tower. Join her in completing the mission. Sign the contract and proceed to 2F.

NOTE: Move forward to find the Guide in the reception area.

NOTE: The quickest way to reach the portal to the 2nd floor is to use Teleportation.

The Entrance Guide NPC is located in Thanatos Tower 2F, He blocks the entrance to 3F. You need to have 5 or more players to be near the NPC. Talked to him and he will open the portal to 3F.

* NPC Location: Thanatos Tower - Lower Level ( tha_t02) 231, 161.

NOTE: It's not required that you be in the same party to enter. If you have not received the quest from Step 1, you will not be able to enter this portal. Make sure that you sign the contract with Ditze the Guide from the 1F.

On 3F, you have to find the Machine Device or Rune Device in the southwest corner to obtain the Red Key.
With a level 4 weapon equipped, you can pry the device to get the key.
